CPAS Calcasieu Parish Alternative Site provides blended instruction for middle and high school at-risk youth, who are unable to participate in a traditional school setting due to disciplinary issues, resulting in suspensions or expulsions. The tiered instructional model addresses the academic, behavioral and social needs of each student with smaller class sizes, highly structured, social skills instruction, engaging classroom activities, and computer-assisted instruction. The overall goal is to successfully reintegrate these students back into a traditional school setting.
